A comprehensive approach to diagnostics and paths to developing gifted children and youth

The idea of the complex structure of intelligence and the multiplicity of its types, which has gained wide recognition in modern psychology and pedagogy of gifted children, requires the search for new alternative means of diagnosing many types of intelligence for which there are no psychometric tests. For this purpose, methods of diagnosing giftedness are being developed, based both on self-assessments of abilities and on their assessments by other people. Therefore, the education system faces an extremely important task - identifying and supporting gifted children capable of high achievements in science, culture, and social life.
